The bus is shaking, Obelix is jumping around with some Romans on one hand and a huge stone in the other and soon he will devour yet another wild boar.
My cross-legged place on top of the mini fridge gives a stunning view out of the huge front windows. Rain is splashing away with every move of the wipes. Wipes that are taller than me.
Soon the bus will stop, and a flood of kids will emerge from the cold and damp. Old books under their arms and in bags to be returned. New ones brought forward from the back of the bus, to be stamped by my dad on their way out on new adventures.
I'm the book-bus drivers daughter, and I have read them all.
